Seller Info

Selling a pre-owned firearm to a private party is a nice freedom we enjoy in our country. And the overwhelming majority of private party gun sales are completed safely between two responsible parties. To assure your transaction is completed safely, whenever selling a gun to a private party you should follow some simple rules.

  • Read, agree and abide by our Terms of Use
  • Always arrange to meet the buyer in a public place, preferably a local gun store.
  • Meet only during daylight hours.
  • Have a 2nd person with you if possible.
  • Use a bill of sale and include the serial #, and both party's information, and have a copy for each party. Samples can be found on the Internet.
  • Use your instinct. Talk to the buyer on the phone, and if things seem shady for any reason, you can always politely pass on the transaction.
  • Always be kind and curteous to the other party.
